Clinical Research Trials

We are engaged in a wide range of medical research studies or “clinical trials” for new and more effective ways to treat sleep and neurological disorders. Patients who qualify may be able to participate in this research and be compensated for their participation.

Dr. Todd J. Swick has been active in the field of Sleep Medicine since the early 1980’s and is recognized as one of the leading neurology and sleep specialists in Texas. Board-Certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine, Dr. Swick has been involved in national and international research concerning sleep and wake disorders for over two decades and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the field of research.

Participation

Clinical research studies have specific guidelines called inclusion/exclusion criteria that establish who can participate. Anyone entering a clinical trial is required to sign a consent form indicating that they understand the reason for the study and their level of participation. Involvement in research studies is completely voluntary with no monetary cost to you if you qualify. Some studies provide study medication as well as compensation for time and travel.
